Mechanical Building Services (MBS) Apprenticeship
Formerly known as the HVAC Installer apprenticeship, the MBS pathway focuses on installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will gain hands-on experience working with ducting, pipework, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment, developing the skills to become a qualified HVAC installer.
Electrician Apprenticeship
Our electrical apprenticeship trains you to safely install, maintain, and repair a wide range of electrical systems. From lighting and switchboards to smart controls and power systems, you’ll learn how to interpret technical plans and carry out work to New Zealand standards, all while working alongside experienced electricians on live job sites.
Refrigeration Service Engineer Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship prepares you to work with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, cool rooms, freezers, and more. You’ll learn system diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, refrigerant safety, and sustainable practices.
Pathway to Foreman
We believe in growing from within. As you build your technical skills and gain experience, you’ll have the opportunity to step into a Foreman role—leading teams on site, coordinating projects, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Supervisor and Management Developer
For those with a passion for leadership and innovation, Fantail Services offers clear progression to Supervisor and Management roles. These positions involve project planning, team leadership, client communication, and helping shape the future of our business.
